Hi I'm Sasha!

I am Christine's adorable Doberman. I spend my days modeling for the Searcy Living Magazine, welcoming donations to Imagine and Believe, giving tours, and getting lots of treats (Mom says too many!) and pets.

But it wasn't always this way. Mom rescued me when I thought all hope was lost. I had lost my best friend and my former owner abandoned me. I was pretty much traumatized. I spent my days with my tail tucked firmly between my legs and trembling when anyone came near.

Meanwhile, Mom had been searching for a dog, specifically a shelter dog to adopt and preferably a Doberman. She received a call from one of the many shelters she had reached out to in her search, and they told her about me.

She knew as soon as she got the call, "That's my dog!" She said she had dealt with traumatized kids from her many years as a foster parent and knew exactly what I needed.

She brought me home and she gradually introduced me to things. I spent my days guarding her daughters while they homeschooled and they took me everywhere. Slowly, I realized that the world was not as scary as I first thought it was.

My tail slowly came out from in between my legs. I learned to play and do all the regular doggy things. Now, I'm Mom's sidekick. I love my role as the mascot in the Searcy Living Magazine. I even have my own section. I welcome visitors in when they donate to Imagine and Believe, the non-profit that Mom started many years ago to help other foster parents.

I ride around with Mom while she delivers magazines or run errands and I absolutely live for pup cups from Sonic and Dairy Queen. Mom says I'm the best dog ever. I don't know how she ever got along without me.
