"God," I silently prayed in 2017 as I walked around the neighborhood for what seemed like the 100th time, trying to hold on to my sanity. "I thought I had everything I needed to be happy. You've blessed me with so many things. Why am I still not happy? What's wrong with me?"

I thought I had checked all the "boxes" that I had mentally prepared for myself. I had a good life, but it wasn't bringing me the peace that I thought it should. At least I was finally on the right track - seeking God first. I knew that was the first step. But the rest? I had no idea.

That was the day I determined that I was going to learn whatever it took to find my peace and my contentment in life.

"Whenever I finally figure it out, I'm going to share what I learned with others so that no one else has to stay as anxious and uptight and discontent as I feel right now."

I started a blog, contentmentquesting.com.

A little over 2 years later, I published my first book, The Pearl Perspective.

I have since published two more books for a publishing company, but this one is the one that I poured most of myself into. If I'm being honest, it's my favorite by far.

Most self-help books for other books written for self-improvement focus on only you, and to me, many of them come across as very fru-fru. There are things that you can do to become more content with your life, but it all starts from following what God wants us to do.

The book's not preachy, but I am proud to say that it very much has a Christian foundation. Everythng works better, LIFE works better when God is at the center of it.

I also wanted a book that was fun to read. I wanted one that the reader could not put down. It's got 4.7 star rating on Amazon. And my readers have described it as,

"Like sitting down for coffee with a good friend."

"This book is incredible, I got hooked and couldn't put it down. I have read many self-development books and this is one of my favorites. It is full of simple action steps that you can add into your life straight away to start seeing improvements." - Lucky Smith

I also wanted it to be sound. I have a science teacher background, so I do like science-backed and proven things. So I also had a psychological clinician with a Master's degree in Psychology review it as well.

"I've officially finished reading your book, and I enjoyed it immensely. The writing style is casual and easy to read, yet still knowledgeable and inspiring. The content itself is solid, and I love that it's backed up with credible sources." - Anna Ledonne Miller
